King Island has a mix of sealed and unsealed roads, depending on where you are heading, however as most of the tourist attractions are along the coast or inland expect a good deal of travelling on gravel and unsealed roads. Part of the fun, however know your limits and that of the car. Even though you may feel you are the only one on the road, driving safely and paying attention to the road is a must as there are plenty of wallabies and other wildlife that can jump right in front of you unexpectedly.
